Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis provides a "home-away-from-home" for families of seriously ill children, and support to organizations that serve the needs of children.  St. Louis' three Ronald McDonald Houses offer parents and family members a respite from hospital waiting rooms 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Our Houses provide the essential comforts of home: comfortable beds, hot showers, home-cooked meals, kitchen and laundry facilities and more.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis also serves local families through our three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, which are located inside three pediatric hospitals: Mercy Children's Hospital, St. Louis Children's Hospital and SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center. These rooms provide many of the same comforts as the Ronald McDonald Houses, including hot showers, laundry facilities, snacks, Internet access and television. Here, families can take a break from the hustle and bustle of hospital corridors. The Priory of the St Louis the Crusader provides direct donations, contributions of food and gifts for holiday baskets at several major holidays in support of this outstanding organization in our community.

Veterans Administration Health Care System – Jefferson Barracks Division

The VA St. Louis Health Care System provides inpatient and ambulatory care in medicine, surgery, psychiatry, neurology, and rehabilitation, and many other subspecialty areas. It is a two-division facility that serves veterans and their families in east central Missouri and southwestern Illinois.  The Jefferson Barracks Division is a multi-building complex overlooking the Mississippi River in south St. Louis County. It provides psychiatric treatment, spinal cord injury treatment, a nursing home care unit, geriatric health care, rehabilitation services, and a rehabilitation domiciliary program for homeless veterans. The Priory of the St Louis the Crusader provides these veterans a bi-annual bbq lunch meal and companionship in support of this outstanding organization in our community.

Kids Against Hunger

Kids Against Hunger packages highly nutritious, life-saving meals for starving children and malnourished children and their families in developing countries and the United States. The goal of the organization is for its meals to provide a stable nutritional base from which recipient families can move their families from starvation to self-sufficiency. Kids Against Hunger accomplishes this by mobilizing the energy and caring of American children, teens, and adults on behalf of hungry children around the world. Kids Against Hunger seeks to end the literal hunger of children receiving the meals, but also satisfies a hunger among prosperous Americans – a hunger for meaning and contribution.  The Priory of the St Louis the Crusader provides support of this organization by participating in food packaging events.
